coaching possibilities and FAQ

Ongoing sessions
(one on one)

A huge benefit of coaching is consistency and accountability. For most clients, I recommend committing to the coaching process for at least three months of time starting with weekly (1 hr) sessions. Most of my clients book about six sessions at a time. I also work on a bi-weekly basis with an optional email check-in between sessions. The best way to find out what works best for you is for us to have a conversation so that we can assess your needs together.

Group workshops

In addition to one-on-one coaching, I also offer workshops. Perhaps you would like to book a workshop for your company, your friends, or your community. In-person and virtual options are available. Get in touch and let’s set something up!

What is creative coaching?

Good question. I’m essentially a life coach for creative people. Coaching is unlike therapy in that it’s more focused on where you are now and what you need moving forward, and less of a deep dive into your past. It is like therapy in that creativity and meaning are emotional subjects that bring up a lot of stuff. I don’t tell you what you “should” do nor do I diagnose you. Instead, I help you get clarity on what matters to you so that you know what you need. I do this by asking questions, offering guidance, and holding you accountable for the goals and intentions you set for yourself. And when difficult emotions do come up, I provide a supportive space free of judgment to feel and process those emotions with mindfulness and ease.

As your coach, I will meet you where you are. I understand that everyone is different and has different needs and because of this, coaching looks different for everyone.

Do I have to be an artist to work with you?

I have a wide range of clients and they would not all call themselves artists (even if I might). My clients are people who are creative. This includes professional and non-professional musicians and artists of all kinds, people with creative careers, and those who have creative passions. There are a lot of ways to define creativity.

I will say that my clients are ready and willing to commit to the coaching process and to make changes in their lives. The coaching process does take time and energy and so the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

What will I get out of Creative Coaching with you?

There are a lot of benefits to coaching.  Depending on your needs, coaching can help you:

  • Connect to a deeper sense of meaning through your unique, authentic creativity

  • Clarify your goals, intentions, and what matters to you

  • Receive accountability for the goals and/or intentions you set for yourself

  • Increase your productivity and time management skills

  • Increase your confidence and maximize your unique strengths

  • Lessen stress and anxiety by learning mindfulness and self-care practices

  • Have support from an empathetic fellow creative professional and human

  • Develop tools for dealing with criticism and rejection (both external and internal)

Does this sound like something that could benefit you?  Maybe you’re not sure. The BEST way to find out is to have a coaching session. I offer one FREE no-obligation session to new clients to see if it’s a good fit. Or perhaps one session is all you need!
